I Don’t Know if We Will Get There in 2021, but I Know That We’ve Been Conditioned for the Journey

We have what we need to carry us forward.

No one truly knows what 2021 will bring, but I truly believe that we have been conditioned for the journey. 2020 was a year of many mountains and valleys, but the journey conditioned us for the new year to come. If one remains teachable, knowledge and wisdom can be gained in every experience.

Strength can be found in struggles, and wholeness can be found in the broken places. A lot has been broken in 2020, and the struggle to overcome has been a steep hill to climb; but you shouldn’t give up, and you should continue your journey forward. The path may be difficult, but you’ve been conditioned for the destination. There may be some detours along the way, but continue to focus on the destination.

Amos 3:3 says, “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” A direction is defined as a course along which someone or something moves. Many have felt the extreme burden of feeling lost, trapped, or maybe even alone. You have spent many nights wondering, “Where am I going, and why am I being sent in this direction?” I assure you that the Lord has prepared a destination and that a table and feast await you.

I don’t know if you’ll get there in 2021, but I know that you’ve been conditioned for the journey. You shouldn’t give up, because the Lord your Shepherd will make you strong again. He will give you rest in green pastures and grant you peace beside the quiet streams.

He has anointed your head with oil, and your cup will overflow. Surely His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life as you dwell in the House of the Lord forever. May you find comfort in the darkest valley, and may you never know the essence of fear. May His rod and staff be your comfort as He continues to draw you near.

I don’t know if we will get there in 2021, but I do know that we’ve been conditioned for the journey.

Blessing and favor. May the Lord our Shepherd continue to guide us into the new year.
